Preventing relocation stress syndrome is a main goal of Moving Generations, a downsizing and moving supervision service for the elderly provided by Red Hook Rotarian Susan Goodman Goldstein, a social worker who grew up in a family moving business, and Dena Crane, a long-time family mediator specializing in senior decision making.  Moving Generations serves the entire Hudson Valley and points beyond.  Services include a free consultation for senior citizens who are downsizing from a large home into smaller quarters, help in setting up auctions for some furniture and sale of other items, handling donations of items where appropriate, and supervising the actual move, including unpacking and making sure everything is in place when the seniors arrive at their new home.
